sleep mode turns computer off

Hey guys, how do i keep sleep mode from turning my computer off? I'm running Vista ultimate and when i use sleep it quiets down and a few seconds later the whole system powers off.

i dont want to shut it off because of a problem with the psu. When the computer is off i have to "hot wire" the 24pin to the mobo until the power catches, after that the system runs great... it just takes a while to get it to "catch/turn on"
