sleep mode problems - need help

I have two computers that are having probs with the sleep mode. 1 is CUSL2 and the other a KK266. Intermittent probs trying to wake either or they just won't go into sleep mode and keep on running after idle period. Sometimes work and sometimes they just keep on ticking. Anyone have any suggestions???
