Sleep is such a waste of life

For some reason, I really hate going to sleep. It seems like such a waste of time. There are so many things to do in life, why must I waste 1/3 of it sleeping?

I generally stay up till 2 or 3AM and get up at 8...I wish I only needed 2 hours a night.

Indeed.

Of course you only need 4. So with 8 you're wasting a lot.

i work from 9pm till 7am..

i get home around 730am .. sleep till 3pm (usually no alarm clock.. alarm is set for 4pm) then leave for work around 830pm

from 3pm to 8pm i can get done everything i need for the day, with plenty of time left over.

if i wake up earlier than 3pm.. i feel really sleepy all day.

I wish I could get by with 4..

Seriously. I work about 14 hours a day six days a week during the summer and I need all the sleep I can get in order to function.

you remind me of my insomniac friend. You will never know the true pleasures of life unless you know the joys of sleep.

Unfortunately, it's hard for me to do critical thinking at my job with less than 7 hrs. I really have no choice in this matter besides being unemployed at the moment.

FOr most of my working career, I existed on 4-5 hours of sleep per night, but caught an occasional nap if I wasn't working on the weekend.

I had the attitude of: Fuck sleep...you can sleep when you're dead."

Since I fucked up the back and knee, I rarely sleep more than 2-3 hours uninterrupted. I have to get up, walk around, do some stretches, and if I'm lucky, I can go back to sleep for another 2-3 hours. It's not at all unusual for me to try to catch a nap for an hour or so in the afternoon nowadays...(while most of you are working):p

You'd be surprised how well you can function on limited sleep. Like...2 hours a day, and not all at once, for a week.

As a college student, I pretty much cannot absorb any amount of information unless I'm well rested.

I have a better quality day though. I hate going through the day feeling like crap and just wanting to close my eyes

QFT. Sleeping 4hrs a day might be fine if you work some monotone job, but trying to remember complex information requires more sleep.

My wife and I get 7-8 hours per night. It cuts into the things we can do when we get home from work, but we are much more lively and awake when we get enough sleep. Oh, and we enjoy getting sleep. :)

I don't know about only needing 4, unless you mean the bare minimum in order to not go insane over a long period of time.

I can get by for a while on 4 hours a sleep a day, but I build up a sleep debt and end up needing either afternoon naps, more sleep at night, or copious amounts of caffeine from coffee.
