it is irrelevant to users in current drives unless you are running a high intensity server on it. (one that has constant 24/7 writes). even then its not that big of a deal.
It has far reaching consequences in engineering and design, it is partially related to the need to trim, wear leveling, and a variety of other hallmarks of SSDs. But you should have nothing to worry about as a user.
