It shouldn't have taken more than about six hours to program. Most of my songs took about 10-15 hours to program but the effects were much more synchronized to the music. I would sync some lights to the singing but that would take hours just to do that part. I basically learned my lesson not to do that anymore.

As for the total light count. I'd estimate at somewhere around 15,000 lights.
