Slayer doesn't deserve a grammy!

Are you F-ing kidding me!?

! Slayer won Best Metal Performance this year at the Grammy Awards. For those of you who listen to metal and keep up with great bands around the genre, Slayer is not in that top list. Too many other bands to speak of.

I have been saying that the Grammy Awards have been out of touch with true musical talent for years. Did the nominee's even get their music listened to by the voters? Doubt it. Slayer was the most recognizable name so it got the vote. Seems that As I Lay Dying should have easily won the Grammy for their song Nothing Left. Even Radiohead lost. Many people would agree with me including the lead singer of AILD. Here are a couple of links backing up my point of view.

Wait a second - The lead singer of As I Lay Dying would agree with you that he should have won? No way?!?!?!?!?!?!? LOL That's just stupid.

Machine Head should have won. Their album was far better than anyone else on that list.

Do you even know how The Grammy's are decided upon?

Here's your answer, become a member of NARAS , vote, the STFU.

It's been years since I've voted in that category, but like most things awarded, people who have been passed over in times past, usually get one when they're not at the top of their game, simply to keep apperances up. Also, they could've received just 500 votes, but still be enough to wn if no one else votes in that category.
And the Music Business is NOTHING if not about apperances.

That's nice and all, but you do realize that Slayer won last year also. It wasn't a gift grammy because of their lack of winning before.

Have you ever played Reign in Blood by slayer on guitar hero? It's seriously hard. Slayer has some great talent and deserved the win.

lol, guitar hero defense....

just lol

Metalhead was the best of those 3, but there were far better metalbands that don't get the credit they deserve

I just listened to all the songs nominated and they go like this from best to worst. I cant say as I have heard any of these songs before. So this was my first time hearing all of them.

1)Final Six - Slayer

2)Never Ending Hill - King Diamond
3)Redemption - Shadows Fall
4)Aesthetics Of Hate - Machine Head
5)Nothing Left - As I Lay Dying

I think they main and only reason they won is name recognition. Even non-metal listeners have heard of slayer. Not many people outside of the metal community know who the other bands are. People just check the box.

I like to bring a pillow to machine head shows, their repetitive rifts put me to sleep.
