My friend and I recently went on vacation. We decided to just get in the car and drive until we hit a good beach. Then when we had enough of that place, we would move on and check out some other place and continue the cycle until funds ran short. Anyway, we ended up in Daytona beach as our first stop. Has anybody else hit a stonewall when trying to check into a hotel? I mean really, having to be 25 years old to check into a hotel seems a little excessive don't you think? And it wasn't just one place, not 1, not 2 but FOUR hotels turned us away before we finally found a place that would let us check in. But we still had to pay a $100 security deposit on the room for a 2 night stay. Now, I am 20 years old and not far off finishing college and I think this is complete BS. If I want to take a vacation I should be able to do so without a bunch of pricks busting my nuts because of my age.
I think I have encountered a new form of discrimination...AGE discrimination. What a load of crap. And please nobody chime in with all that stuff about young people partying and destroying rooms. There were only 2 of us and we showed up to the front desk well attired and addressed the staff professionally. I think this is utterly wrong. Am I right or what?
