Slave or Master?

Should I have my new Plextor as a slave, or a master to my CD-ROM?

Doesn't really matters, it depends on your preference but it does automatic next drive letter assignment to Master and latter drive letter goes to the Slave. Really does'nt mean much since you can change that manually anyway. I've heard some drives don't "work" so well in Master or Slave vice-versa but I never had that problem personally though.

I have mine set as a slave. Wouldn't work right as master... as slave works like a charm. Didn't bother with trying get it to work as master when it works perfectly as slave.

I have my burner 0n the 2nd ide as master and then have my cdrom as a slave off the hard drive cable.
