To be fair, Harvey did miss the fact that Jschmuck2 brought up rape first, and this does change the situation. He responded correctly here based on what he saw, but we all miss some things some times.
In re-reading, reviewing this, it seems clear that sutahz was bringing up a valid piont: Jschmuck2 was complaining about people making a big deal of something not globally important while making a big deal about something not globally important himself.
As sutahz first post was on topic and on target (though I agree with Jschmuck2's general sentiment that people take this topic too seriously sometimes), Jschmuck2 was the first one to take a jab here. He did say something that implied he had stopped sutahz from raping someone by getting his attention and making him post in that thread.
Which undermines his entire argument btw, as that means all the brand wars also stop all participants from raping others and wiping out other races.
So ... to evaluate the original issue.
It seems clear that Jschuck2 was both being sarcastic and trying to cover his ass with humor to distract people from the valid point you made (while killing his entire argument). He didn't actually call you a rapist, but just sighted the fact that if you were posting on a forum you couldn't rape someone which would be true whether you were inclined to rape people or not.
Being that he was obviously not serious (even though you were), and that his post doesn't come right out and attack you (as I said above), we feel that there is no need to take any further action. The thread is locked because it was off topic anyway (getting too meta does get away from the actual point of discussion -- if you have issue with the way things happen that's what forum issues and the suggestion box are for).
FWIW, Jschmuck2's post in this thread is much worse than the original. His veiled jabs and not so veiled threats are not taken lightly. Other's would be wise not to do the same. He can consider this a warning to not threaten to PM members with offensive comments (and also to not actually PM members with offensive comments either).
