Slackware linux XFree86 setup

I just installed Slackware 8.1 linux on my recently constructed rig:
Xp 2100
Geforce 4
512 DDR
ect.

At XFree86 website I notice that their most recent release only supported graphics cards up to the geforce 3. I am very new to linux, but was wondering how to configure XFree86 on my current rig. Any explination or links to articles about configuring XFree86 and Gnome or KDE would be greatly appreciated.

You need to get the nVidia Linux drivers. READ THE DIRECTIONS, download the appropriate *.tgz file, and that should get X up and running.
