Our school always picks football players that were on drugs and then stopped as motivational speakers. They're really not all that good🙁

Reformed athletes... Not exactly the greatest role models. Many of those guys are doing it as a result of their sentence. Not always athletes either. Same deal goes with singers. Ever heard of Rock Against Drugs? RAD? 😉

I am pretty gung ho when it comes to distributed computing especially good scientific projects. I consider SETI one of these. The only thing that really gripes me is even though this forum is very helpfull the other forums have degenerated into nothingness. I have been on the anandtech forums since the beginning because it was always helpfull when I had problems and helped others if I knew the answer to there problem. lately I have posted 5 problems that I have had and am having and out of those 5 i got 2 bad answers and 3 no answers. There are so many really smart people in this forum that could help others but choose not to go to the other forums. To me the best recuting tool is to gain the confidence and admiration of those that use the forums. This is not to knock anyone here but just a small complaint that I see keeps us from gaining more membership than we have. So those of you that know a lot go to the other forums and help someone and then ask in return to join in the distributed forum and give something back for the help they got.
