Skyrim PC reqs/recom?

Has there been any information on what the PC requirements and recommendations are for Skyrim? There's a 6850 on sale for $110 right now, after rebate, that would be nice to have in Crossfire with my current card. As of now I don't need it but think maybe Skyrim will. Just looking for some input. Thanks.

I don't believe they have said anything about reqs yet. Depending on how you want to play you have two options I see. First, the game is being made for the consoles first and foremost, so you could probably play it max'd out when it releases with no problems. Second, if you want to play with lots of eye candy mods to make it look like a real PC game you will probably need beefy gpu.

I bet I could max it out @ 1920x1080 with my HD 5770. Still getting a new GPU over the holidays, but not worried about it since like KaOTiK said, it looks like they made this with consoles in mind. Got the I5 2500k and 8GB Ripjaws like you as well.

The GPU on the PS3/360 at this stage is a hamster with an Etch A Sketch.

And where did this come from? People speculating or something Bethesda said they were working towards? Got to be careful when posting numbers because a lot of people been wondering about this lately. We need to get the info right.

It's pure speculation. Like was implied, Bethesda hasn't released any numbers - they wouldn't do that, because if the reqs change in October they'd be indirectly responsible for people buying inadequate hardware.

Google Skyrim reqs for some sites that are reporting these numbers. And people certainly need to read and understand the words & Bethesda is releasing the official system requirements in October.

Its a DirectX 9 console port, I highly doubt its going to require much in the way of hardware. Even my lowly 5750 has run every console port I have played flawlessly.

Out of thin air. Bethesda hasn't said anything about it. Not a word. This is guessing at its purest form.

Just got off the phone with the CEO of Bethesda....

Minimum System Requirements
Xbox 360 and PS3

Recommended System Requirements:
Xbox 360 and PS3

Without any confirmation from Bethesda this holds no power.
The specs won't be the same as they were with Oblivion. Anyone can deduce that from the new game engine (Creation Engine) alone. It's not going to be the same as Oblivion or New Vegas on hardware support level.

Going to suck for those spending $250+ on new GPUs for this game only to realize the a $50 GPU will max it out.

That plus an Intel 333mhz CPU and half-broken console controller = Winning!

Highly doubt it will be GPU-intensive judging by the screenshots/videos that are out.

Your HD 6850 should let you max it out ez.

All the screens and video released so far have been from the 360. Bethesda has said that the PC version would have better graphics than the consoles. Were they lying? Guess we find out in a month.
