Skyrim Install from DVD -- Steam on one drive, install on other drive?

I'm going to be adding a new SSD to my system soon and I want to install Skyrim on it via DVD. Right now I have Steam on my main drive. Can I still install Skyrim to the new SSD or do I have to move all of Steam to the new SSD first?

A beta version of steam lets you choose where to install games, or you can just get SteamMover and manually move games of your choice to the SSD (which I currently use).

steam has recently added option to instal some games to folder other than steam install folder, before that you were out of luck.
btw you'd want to put your OS on SSD.

My Steam is up-to-date, so hopefully it will let me put it on the new drive. The OS is currently on a 64 GB SSD. The new drive is a 128.
