Skype recycles their numbers too quickly

So, I had Skype for a while, but only for outgoing calls to landlines. I needed to travel for about 2 weeks back in March, so I paid for a 3-month Skype-in number in my area code.

During my traveling time I got a couple of calls from people who used to call this number just recently to reach a completely different person. Then I returned and pretty much shut off my Skype. Today I decided to turn it on for no apparent reason... Holy crap! 11 voice mails!

All eleven - from the same guy in Illinois (judging by area code).
Starts out smth like this:

'Hey, <...>, this is <..>, why don't you give me a call back... AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME GRIEF, TOUGH GUY!

2 days later:

'Hey, <...> It's <..> YOU SCREWED MY DAUGHTER!!.... OUT OF $137!' Then he goes on a rant about police, FBI and other agencies getting on this case, and how the person should call back if he still has some balls and return the money.

From then on it's a voice mail every 2-3 days with more threats each time. My Skype credit completely ran out, so I will never find out what happens next :) This guy can't even leave a voice mail any more. I wonder if he ever got a clue, that a typical US answering system wouldn't speak with a British accent.

edit: heh reminds me. one day we got a call on the answereing machine. it was a profanity laced and very violent message. the ending was something like "i know where you fucking live and im going to skin you alive"

next message was from the same guy saying "damn. sorry i got the wrong number. i hope kids didnt hear that."
