Skype message loading problem

Hi everyone. Does anyone know why Skype suddenly freezes messages?
I've used Skype for years, but last night I was in a video chat and text chat
when my text messages, to send, started stalling with small loading circles.

My friend could send to me fine. But I couldn't send to my friend.
I restarted Skype and the stalled message had posted. Weird.

Ever other program, like Facebook Video or Viber were working
great, so the problem is somewhere in Skype.

Very frustrating, any ideas why this is suddenly happening and how I can fix it?
