is it just me, or does skype have the best emoticons out there?

i've used a lot of services that include smiley faces. and out of all of them (yahoo, AOL, message boards, facebook), skype emoticons are by far the most impressive to me. what's your take on them?

here are a few of the skype emoticons if you don't use skype. and here's a whole directory of them.

I'm not a fan of emoticons in general. I'll sometimes use :p, but that's only if I reread my message and it comes off harsh or I don't think my sarcasm comes through. Proper punctuation marks would prevent the need.

If someone uses a lot of emoticons, I start to get the impression that they lack the ability to properly communicate their ideas.

There must be something wrong, those emoticons seem to have a 3-D shading effect and look to them. I thought MS went with the flat colorless tablet look for all they own and sell to the public, like Office 2013...

I don't even remember the Skype emoticons. I never really liked the sounds that it used though, it was like every noise had a trailing "plop" to it.

Facebook has shitty emoticons the :p just looks like it's ill. I know you can get other ones but seems like those you have to pay for or something.

nope here's two screenshots i just took. first is the use of skype smileys in the chat, second is the skype emoticons when previewing all of them, the smiley icon next to the send image.
