So I was updating my Skype contact list and decided to add several people to my list. As I typed up their name with Simplified Chinese Characters, boxes appeared for some of the characters. I had no idea why so I tried to type it in a browser and then copy and paste it to Skype, but that didn't work. I then tried to type that in Traditional Chinese characters and it worked. It's really bizarre and I can't figure out why even with a search on Google. Has anyone here experience this problem before?
In case someone ask, I'm using Windows 7 and my computer have no problem displaying or using Simplified or Traditional Chinese Characters in all other software. I get this impression that Skype is lacking support for all Simplified Chinese Characters, but I thought I would ask in case someone here have Chinese contacts on their Skype list.
