Skylights and ultra violet

I did a bunch of Google searches but what I've seen doesn't explain this to me.

I had two skylights (also two separate vents) installed during roof job on garage a month ago. The skylights are bubble dome, so I assume they are plexiglass (acrylic plastic). I spend little time in the garage, so my concern isn't skin exposure to UV. I'm wondering if I should store UV degradable objects away from the direct sun transmitted through these skylights.

Just had a conversation with the company that makes the skylights I had put in. Woman said they ordinarily use a plain acrylic (i.e. what I have) and that it provides essentially no UV filtering. So, yeah, anything I don't want exposed to harmful UV shouldn't be stored where it will get direct sunlight through the two skylights.

You gotta love Tom Silva, the guy is awesome.

Well, looks like there's no simple answer. In my case, the things I'm concerned about are mostly some tarps that degrade from UV. I suppose other things might be susceptible too. I almost wish I'd told the roofer to skip the additional expense of skylight(s). I asked for one after he explained the option. However, they installed it in the wrong place and I struck a deal with them where they'd install a 2nd one at their expense if I paid for the physical skylight. So, I have two.

Maybe I'll get the polycarbonate rectangular pieces and apply them to the bottom of the skylights. So what if they turn yellow? I don't live in the garage, it's basically for storage.
