People boot computers still? Mine turns off a few times a year during a power outage maybe.

Some of us who are security conscious prefer the PC to be either off or hibernated when we arent in front of it to keep it in a fully encrypted state (using FDE of course).

My power company's website I can track each daily usage on my billing period.

OK. But that won't tell you anything about an individual appliance's usage. That is your whole house for that time period. The cable box, the TV, refrigerator if it was running then, lights that are on at the time, etc.

I have an asus maximus vii hero and if I don't see q-code AO being displayed it stalls at code 61 for varying lengths of time before proceeding to load windows. If AO shows it loads immediately and I can log in, otherwise I have to stare at the ROG logo for a few seconds.

But it does get you into Windows within 8-12 seconds? Or more? Assuming you are SSD enhanced.
