I've got an Achieva ShiMian 27" 2560x1440 monitor. It has only a DVI-D input and can only accept the one resolution. Is there a skylake chip that would be able to drive it? I'd like to hold off on buying a discrete graphics card until next year. Thanks

Maybe I asked the wrong question, and I should be asking if there are any motherboards that support that resolution through DVI? I was looking at the Gigabyte Z170MX-Gaming 5 and it states:

1 x DVI-D port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200@60 Hz

Most of the motherboards I've looked at say that's what they support for Intel integrated graphics

Yeah, the mobo is going to be the problem.

I think you are stuck with buying a card?

Or you could get a motherboard with displayport like the ASUS H170 PRO GAMING and get a displayport to dual dvi adapter. Or get a discrete card with dual dvi

Those adapters are expensive too. 100$
