SkyLake build memory question - G.Skill TridentZ series

I have this very exact ram on my skylake build and it works fine but im not doing any crazy OC stuff.

I got some Corsair LPX at the egg for $100: 3000mhz @ 15-17-17. So far running them at 3200 15-17-17 rock solid. Might try to get 14-15-15 or maybe 3400 15-17-17. Most DDR4 are pretty mature and o/c pretty easily. Look around for cheaper ram. Most RAM are really same stuff they just adjust loosen the timings to get higher frequency.

Corsair and G.SKILL use the same exact memory modules with different heatsinks. Keep that in mind next time your shopping around and looking for a deal.
