Newegg Shell Shocker deal. Good price for this well received laptop. Add in a 250GB SSD and another 8GB RAM and you have a solid machine for under $950. AFAIK it's the thinnest and lightest 15" laptop with this hardware inside.

-NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M 4 GB GDDR5
-Intel Core i7 6700HQ 4C/8T (2.6-3.5 GHz)
-8 GB DDR4-2133 Memory (single DIMM so getting another would be advised for dual channel operation)
-1 TB HDD (unfortunately 5400 rpm but fine for storage if you get an SSD)
-15.6" matte IPS FHD 1920 x 1080
-15.35" x 10.35" x 0.90" (W x D x H)
-Thunderbolt 3/USB 3.1 type C

Good deal. I would have upgraded my IVB laptop already if gaming laptops could also give me 8-10 hour battery life. This Acer has a 3-cell Li-ion Battery (4450 mAh) and my current 15.6" (0.89" thick & 5.3 lbs) Samsung has a 9100 mAh battery. If someone doesn't need the long battery life, for $800, this is very decent.

The reviews are kind of... stupid btw. The one guy complains about the intel graphics being default adapter... So what, I had that question too but then i figured out the discrete gpu is basically just there until theres an actual gpu demand.. Some other stupid shit too, w/e

Bought a near identical laptop to these puppies earlier this year. Acer has an issue with their clickpad. Some work great, some suck balls. You end up having to return it (you pay shipping) to have it fixed. Takes around 3 weeks.

Aside from that issue- and you can find it listed elsewhere - it's been a good laptop for me. Excellent performance, skyrim on ultra settings is smooth.
