Skyhawk Aluminum Case 29.95 *hurry*

I've seen cases like that locally for about $35. If it's like those, then there's a lot of plastic with that aluminum. As it says in the ad, it's an aluminum CHASSIS case, not an aluminum CASE.

so it's not any good for $45 shipped? I want to try my hand at building my first computer...I guess I better stick to a nice Antec case?

prolly wut i would do..

well considering the specs on it, it seems to have a sturdy design despite the possibility of having plastic sides (which i doubt from skyhawk cuz 95% of their cases are aluminum on the outside -not always inside), but this one states it has a aluminum chassis so dont gotta worry there- and the main thing i liked about it was where it said it was under 10 lbs... so it really is preference if you like this one or not because someone looking for a light case with a nice window and two cooling fans would go for it...

may i also suggest the antec case they have with psu at amazon for $56.99 (free shipping) if you would like another great case for the dollar

Antec SLK2600AMG ATX

compared to the other one, this one is better quality and comes with a psu- but lacks a window (if u really like that stuff) and its probably 2 to 3 times heavier-and will cost 20 or so more dollars

---------------------------------------------------------------------
haha honestly i'd probably get the antec one over the other one- only way i'd get the skyhawk one was if i found a nice coupon code for cooler guys to sweeten the deal~

nevertheless, i STILL do think the skyhawk one is a good deal, so i'll keep this thread =)

Nah - I would go for this b/c of weight. I think I had something more or less like this. I used the case along w/ an Antec True Power PSU. Personally I think Antec cases are ugly.

Isn't that Antec case really quiet though? I wouldn't go for the Skyhawk, it looks very cheap in person...

I have basically the same chassis as my main rig (XP2500 on a K7NCR18D-Pro (Leadtek nforce2)) except the window has a clear fan in the center.

Front is acrylic (which means: do not mod unless you like ugly, chipped acrylic!).

Sides are aluminum. Whole thing is a bit flimsy, but it works well. Pretty good price.

I bought this case last time it was on sale and I have to say that for the price it's not bad!! My friends have said that it's a cool looking case. I can't complain.
I think for $30 bucks plus shipping its not bad at all!

"This case will run approximately 15-20F degrees cooler then your regular off the shelf steel mid-ATX case"

How do retailers get away with advertising BS like this.

Looks like a decent case otherwise.

A case can't be quiet but the PSU can be. The Antec cases come w/ their True Power PSUs that have quiet technology or whatever. That's why i suggested the case w/ an Antec PSU.
