Ahh forget about the storefront, I'm not going to mess with it, BUT does anyone know anything about, abovegroundsolutions.com?

THANKS

Well sent a email to Microsoft and waiting on that, but anyone else heard of, or dealt with abovegroundsolutions.com?

THANKS

Storefronts are pretty safe. Wish I woulda used one instead of the place I went to for my car audio. All I got was a big headache.

This is the REPLY I received back from Microsoft:

Hello Scott,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Online Customer Service.

I appreciate your concern and the time taken for informing us about Piracy.

Typically when programs are sold for significantly less than their retail value, it is a sign of either license abuse or outright piracy. If you would like to report these sellers to our Anti-Piracy team for investigation, please forward the full text of the message you received along with the full e-mail headers to piracy@microsoft.com

You may also visit the following web link, which provides information about contacting Microsoft for reporting Piracy.

So does anyone know how cheap XP Pro OEM can be sold for and anything much lower then this given price, there must be something illegal going on?

Personally I don't know really how cheap OEM could be sold for, I have seen many sites out there selling it for $75-$88 and I really don't know what to expect on the pricing for this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

THANKS

I got mine from the university book store for $8, but I assume that is because MS supplies its products to educational institutes for much discounted prices...

Does it look like your typical XP Pro CD and does it look the same on the desktop?
There are what are called the Academic versions, so not sure if they are different.

THANKS
