For $300 you can pick up a real used soda vending machine, not this POS.

This "POS" has 4 star reviews on Amazon. Some people might want a nice small NEW vending machine instead of some old beat up soda machine.

Well, sorry, let me restate. Before plunking down your $ on something like this, definitely go check one out in person. I did, and it is an ugly monstrosity of molded plastic. Amazon's reviews seem mixed between love it and hate it, but for the life of me I can't understand why you'd pay $300 for a $100 minifridge. (and not a very good looking one, at that)

Yes I understand the "it's cool to own a Vending Machine" thing - however this is not a real vending machine, it won't fool anyone into thinking it's a vending machine, and it certainly isn't built like a vending machine.

If you REALLY want to impress your buddies, get a real one. You can, even a newish model, for fairly reasonable prices. I've seen them off and on under $500 (Sometimes under $250?) all the time.

Where would you go to buy a real vending machine? Sounds like a cool addition to any home :)

If you have the space and appropriate decor, would be pretty slick, and useful as well. (nothing like buying 20 cases of coke when they're on sale and stocking up)

Newspaper classifieds. Bargaintrader.com. Ebay. As a matter of fact, I checked just to make sure I wasn't completely out of line, and there are a handful of real coke machines for sale on ebay with buy it now prices around $500. (real, indoor/outdoor, 400+ can models)

Remember, soft drinks have a definite shelf life (especially, sugar free - 60 days), so don't overfill them. Also, remember operating expenses, these suck up a lot of electricity.
