"Under" your house? What do you live in a trailer or something?

Two basic types of foundations for houses...

1. Concrete slab. (no crawlspace)
2. Foundation blocks on which floor trusses rest. (crawlspace)

Slabs are much more prominent these days, but they weren't in the reasonably near past.

I had a problem with a cat spraying near the house. I mean you could'nt walk outside without smelling it.

So, here was my solution:

Buy yourself one of those small to mid size Super Soaker water guns.
Blend up a handful or two of some Habanero peppers
Mix in a 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
Puree all of this as much as possible and be careful opening the blender (hold breath while doing this)
Strain contents real good or it will clog the gun. You don't want any pulp
Mix this with as much water as you need to fill the gun.
Fill the gun **LOL**
Shake gun before each use above your head with a wild look on your face and yell.....I'm gonna' git u Sucka'!

1 shot in the eyes will deter him forever but won't kill or blind!

The cat that got it was foaming at the mouth like mad and made a wierd growl/meow as it ran **LMAO**

Well, admittedly, I only shot one skunk in the head. It didn't spray. Their brains are about as big as a walnut, so maybe you missed the brain. My buddy swears by the brain shot.

I have some experience with skunks. Here are your options:

1) Headshot: .22 is sufficient. If you hit the brain, the skunk won't spray. You can bait the skunk out at night with bacon.

2) Trap and drown: This is probably the best option. Rent or borrow a box trap like this one:

Some city animal control departments will loan you one.

Bait it with bacon. Set it a night. Once the skunk is inside, wait til daylight, then walk up slowly and throw a blanket over the whole trap. The skunk won't spray. Then carry the whole thing to somewhere with water deep enough to cover the whole thing. This is the tricky part; you can't stand the trap on end (it'll open) so a trashcan is out. If you have a lake or pond close, you're all set. Otherwise, the bathtub might work. Check to make sure the trap fits before capturing the skunk!

3) Mothballs or bleach: You may be able to convince the skunk to voluntarily move if you put mothballs or bleach in his burrow.

Good luck.

I agree with most of it besides the drowning part, just throw the cage (gently) into the back of a truck with something to keep it from sliding around (and dislodging the blanket/cover/carboard box) and drive it to a wooded area over 5 miles away, pop the door and walk away holding the blanket....sit down and have a

Also, I found that a can of catfood works 60% of the time , every time

While at summer camp two years ago we had major problems with skunks running around. We put a bag of moth balls around our tents and the next morning they were gone. The following day we spotted a skunk actually eating the moth balls. Later when the game commission came the officer said that some skunks are actually attracted to them. In fact sometimes they place moth balls in the traps to catch them.

Lol. When I was at Boy Scout Camp in 6th grade, a skunk got underneath one of the senior tents. (The tents were raised on wooden frames about 1 ft off the ground. The "floor boards" had cm wide gaps). At about 3 am, there is a pair of screams, followed by a really bad smell. Two guys run out of the tent in boxors, wake up the entire campsite. We ended up luring the skunk out from under the tent with some left-over food, trapped it in a cardboard box. It sprayed the box a couple of times, and the thing smelled like sh!t, but not much other than that. Let it loose about a mile into the woods.

Well, one time, my buddy Woodrow trapped a whistlepig in a live trap. I was staying at his house for the weekend. I said "Woodrow, hold on, I'll go get my truck gun out of and shoot him."

He said "Dont do that, you'll shoot my trap."

I said "OK, open the door and back off fast. When he comes out, then I'll bust him."

He said "Junior (that's me), you know as well as I do my wife will have both our asses if you shoot that groundhog." (His wife is an animal lover.) "Let's just take him to the state land and let him go."

So we did. And damned if he didn't come back the very next day. From five miles away. So Woodrow trapped him again.

I said "This time, let me drive."

I threw a blanket over the cage (so the critter couldn't see the sun) and drove about 20 miles to make a five mile trip. I zigged and I zagged. I spun around in circles. I parked the truck, took the cage out, tied a rope to the top and spun it around as fast as I could. Then I let the groundhog out.

He hasn't come back yet.

If he does, I guess I'll drown him.
