I am thinking about upgrading but i am not sure. i want to upgrade to the skt 939 processors but will there be new skt types in the near future. is it worth it rite now to upgrade?

It depends on how often you upgrade. You 3200+ @2.4ghz should be giving you some pretty good performance anyway. The only real reason I could see for you to switch now is if you wanted a PCIe graphics card, like a 7800GT or GTX.

I am very happy with my dual core, I have my 4200+ @2.618ghz and the 3800+ X2 seems to OC just as well. If you are gonna get a dual core, might as well do it now, cause the new socket only changes to DDR-2 and ddr-2 won't be much of a benifit anyway, since AMD is not bandwidth limited.
