I am pretty set on getting an Athlon64 3000/3200 CPU. What ATX mobo would you recommend? It should be AGP preferably and have no less than 3 PCIs. I'm not really interested in overcloking at the mo, and just require a very stable machine for all round usage (from surfing to gaiming, etc)

I have an Audigy sound card so onboard sound is NOT necessary.

As for budget I reckon about $90-$100 (is this too little?)

Thanks

ASRock 939Dual-SATAII. It's got PCIe *and* AGP, and it's probably the way to go beucase you have AGP, and you could now have an upgrade route.

Edit: Price is sub $70 last time I checked.

Wow! Thanks - I never knew there's a dual GPU slot. I'll have a further look and will also need to see if it is available here in the UK too.

EDIT: Just read the review and it seems a fantastic board. It only costs about £45-£50 ($80-$90) here so is an absolute steal!

Whatever you do, stay away from the Abit AN8 series.....post codes are ALWAYS wrong. And nothing but troubles sometimes...Im upgrading mine. to something better, maybe Asus or DFI

I'd recommend the ASRock 939Dual SATA2 since you need AGP. Lets you upgrade in the future and is very in-expensive.
