maybe i missed an article, but are the skt 754 boards going to offer pci express? my wife wants a new computer so instead of me getting her a new one, i will just build myself a new one and giver her mine :) (2.8c/1GB Ram/I865PE Base Board, etc). looking at going with a athlon 64 3200 and might as well get one with pci express and change my video card to a 6600gt if they are coming out soon, or do i need to go skt 939?

Well, right now there's still nothing for AMD with PCIe (unless NForce4s have started trickling onto shelves; newegg doesn't show any yet). I don't believe there's anything preventing NForce4, K8T890, or the upcoming ATI PCIe Athlon64 chipset from being used with Socket754 (they don't even need different memory controllers, since it's onboard the CPU), but I'm not sure how many motherboard makers are going to offer such products. It seems likely that at least a few will (there's too much demand not to), but no official details have been released yet.

I've read that there will be some skt754 PCI-e mobo's coming out with the upcoming crop of NF4. I searched around for someone last week, but sorry didn't keep any links.

You can't have dual-channel DDR on Socket754. With the Athlon64 CPUs, the memory controller is integrated on the CPU die, and the S754 CPUs only have a single-channel memory controller.

Dual channel no PCI-E yes. Since semprons going to be skt 754 they gonna need boards that can use them and have pci-e. SInce that seems to be the slot for upcoming video cards.
