I have a fairly fast computer and ready for 2007 PC gaming.

I need more reasons from other people to make me feel good not to upgrade or build from scratch in 2007.

Besides waiting for DDR3 RAM, 1333 FSB, and cheaper quad cores in 1.5 to 2 years from now, any justification is appreciated.

Current high end hardware now and released this year will most likely run the newer games coming out this year(Crysis,UT3,ect) nicely at max(or near it) settings. Besides those games, newer game engines/technology will likely be 3-4+ years off. So IMO upgrade this year if need to be for those and other games, you likely won't need DDR3,Quad core, ect unless your a frames per sec freak. As long as a game is playable(30-40FPS) I am happy.

If your running dual core and 2gb of memory just keep your video card up to date as much as possible and you should be fine if you decide to wait. If you don't have dual core AND 2gb memory then good luck :D.
