first and foremost, define "skipping breakfast".

If I have a handful of bran flakes did I have breakfast? If I have an english muffin, did I have breakfast? If I have some welches gummy fruits, did I have breakfast?

Define what "having breakfast" is. Does it matter what type of food, or is it just shoving something down your throat within 1-2 hours upon waking?

Either way, I'll call the bullshit flag on this study.

My Uncle said the exact same thing. Was extremely fit and active. Had insanely good health markers. And died of a massive heart attack while mowing his lawn last summer.

Well, "insanely good" does have a broad range. Did he complete a half-ironman or equidistant race a year prior? He probably wasn't 30 either.

Only voice of reason was quoted as more or less a disclaimer and put at the bottom of the article:

"...Andrew Odegaard, a public health researcher at the University of Minnesota who has studied links between skipping breakfast and obesity, high blood pressure, said to USA Today. "Generally, people who eat breakfast tend to eat a healthier diet." Odegaard was not involved in the research."

Eating breakfast, in and of itself, is not a ticket to good health. Eating three balanced and healthy meals per day is. I like when Dr. Dean Edele once said on his radio show that 90% of people who are in car accidents have eaten carrots in the last 30 days. Carrots must kill, right?

America's critical thinking skills = shit.
