Tips on using it?
Anyone have trouble doing the final "buffing" with the felt pad?

It has worked great for me. You do have to use a little force when buffing with the felt pad and it will erase the resurfacing pattern but it will create a lot of light scratches. Your cd player wont even see those scratches so it's no big deal. It has fixed discs I thought were hopeless.

I can't quite get the pattern buffed out.

Even with the pattern there, the cd will read fine. After buffing the pattern should only be noticeable at an angle. Make sure you have the cd on a soft flat surface like the cloth (folded up) that comes with the kit.

I can't quite get the pattern buffed out enough so that the CD player can read the disc.
