Skinny Legs

I have skinny legs. Am I stuck with it or can I bulk it up? Maybe thats why I am so light even though I workout. My upper body looks pretty good, ie..chest and arms. Any way I can bulk up my legs?

Why don't you exercise your legs like you do your upper body?? If you run, that could be the cause of your skinny legs. Try hiking instead.

Post pics, then I would be able to assess! 😉 😛

I should say that I may be biased , since I do have skinny legs. 😛

yummy.....

dude, buy a scooter that you have to use your legs, ride 2 miles a day and ur legs will be monster in 1 month.

Run, jog, walk, climb stairs, or ride a bicycle. Do a lot of activity that uses your leg muscles primarily. 🙂

NOTHING beats squats (provided you do them
until your thighs are parallel to the ground or lower).
(also does a lot for your glutei).

wrong man...just wrong.
I was serious, I had ballet for a few years and ended up with fairly large calf muscles.

I'm a girl, so its ok if I had ballet 🙂

so true
and try some leg press and dead lifts.....

though i wouldn't suggest over doing it....do a leg work out once at most twice a week......

anything more im told is overkill

Weightlifting will definitely help you ...

Try doing squats, deadlifts, leg press, hamstring curls, leg extensions and calf raises ...

Deadlifts are mostly for the lower back but they will give the legs a decent workout. Also, I'd only do 2 of the 3 major lifts (squats, deadlifts, leg press) per workout along with the other exercises.

try dancing at raves, its not really dancing, just jumping up and down for hours.
or you could go with something a little more classy, or the horizontal boogie a few hours a day 😉

EDIT: horizontal boogie doesnt do much for the legs
Try making a treadmill that powers your comp and run while you scour ATOT

I think bulking up legs differs from person to person. I've been working out for almost 4 years but started seriously working my legs only half a year ago. Since then I've put on almost 10 lbs in my legs alone. And while I don't look exactly like Ricki Williams, you can say that I have pretty big legs.

My friend on the other hand has been working out almost 10 years. He looks like an NFL linebacker, yet he can't put on any weight in his legs. He always complains about having chicken legs and I can understand that.

My other friend has been working out as long as I have, except he's been working out his legs longer than me. Now he DOES look like Ricki Williams. I've personally seen him leg press 900 pounds.

So my point is - start working your legs and see what happens. In about 3-4 month you'll get the idea whether you're gaining weight or not. If you're not - I'm sorry man. It might be tough gaining weight on your legs.

Don't that give you a big gut instead of legs? 😉

Thanks guys for the advise. I will try to do more squats and legs press.

Just played basketball for couple hours and my legs and lower back is hurting. I knew I should have workout my legs more instead of upper body. I don't see my legs in the mirror, but I do my upper body. 😛

Do 10 sprints a day to every other day and really push yourself to run as fast as you can, that'll get you pretty beefie in a matter of weeks.

About 40 to 50 yard sprints*

All the squats in the world aren't going to do squat if you don't supply your body with enough calories and protein to build muscle.
