I used to be made fun of back when I wore them in middle school. Now they're all the rage.

I like wearing them, though.

I think it's more what I see on the streets, than what fashion editors are pushing, that leads me to a certain perspective. I think skinny jeans (which can be somewhat slouchy around the ass - as opposed to skin tight) are sexy.
