skinning/litestep help

how do i apply packs found at Deviant art? where can i go to check out litestep, and any pointers before i apply it? and places to see good skins?

litestep is pretty easy unless your an idiot like me. Just don't change anything unless you know what you're doing. I think i'll try it again sometime cause i really like the virtual desktop.

Litestep.net is where I learned how to use it. I downloaded a skin from there called TurtleSoup II, which actually came with great documentation. Most LS skins are notorious for coming with little to no documentation, but this one does. Download it and play around with this skin before you mess with other ones, then once you've learned the general concepts, you should be able to install others, somewhat seamlessly.

actually, the easier theme to try out litestep is: FunctioNAlisM. it's on litestep.net. if you want it, i can send it to you. also, i began litestep not too long ago. just spend some time reading the step.rc, and just play around with it. i setup another partition, put win2k on it and just played around with it. if i screwed up the OS, just format/reinstall =). after 3 formats, i knew what i could do and what i could not. so you get the hang of it fast. FunctioNAlisM is very easy to edit. the STep.rc file is clean, no garbage, and it has instructions. just read the readme.txt file [ duh = ) ]
