Skills needed for a software job?

Hey can you guys list the skills that are needed to get a good software development or design job. I have a programming job now but I want to get a better/higher paying one. Thanks for the help.

Far too vague a question....

There are so many degrees of ability, and so many degrees of specialization that it's impossible to create a list of "must have" requirements.

What do you like working on? What platform? What language?

Lets say Windows, and C++

You'll need to be good at writing C++ and know the win32 API.
