I've had this happen to me a few times... it does NOT feel good on any level. Not only are those things hard-as-rock plastic, they are hard-as-rock-frozen plastic. It's painful.

That is why I snowboard...

No you snowboard because its trendy and doesn't require skill or coordination :p

Um...no. :) I skied most of my life...and am quite good at it. I picked up snowboarding a number of years ago and just enjoy it more. My skis haven't left my closet in over 5 years...yet I go snowboarding every year.

That's the most ridiculous comment I've read today. Snowboarding is trendy yes... but it does require a good amount of skill and coordination. It's not like you just get out there and make it happen w/out putting forth a lot of effort. Skiing is actually easier to some.

I've done both for years and in my experience the oppisite is true, at least with regard to skill and coordination. Almost anybody can get down the mountian on skis their first day but that is rarely true for snowboarders.
