Are you looking for a good beginner slope or a good expert slope?

If you've never been, then I suggest you go some place like Crested Butte or Steamboat Springs Colorado. I think they have direct flights to both places from Atlanta.

Too many people have a poor 1st experience with Eastern boilerplate snow conditions.

Camelback is a pretty good ski resort in the Poconos area of PA. I think they're the largest resort around. They have plenty of slopes and lifts, as well as a fun tubing area.
Check it out here.

Camelback is pretty good, it gives a mix of both beginner and expert. I went there with a few beginner friends and experts (myself included) and we all had a good time. If you are looking for the the best in NE PA, it is arguably Elk Mountain (it is a little furhter, but they have two mountains and they have double diamond).

If you are looking for a short trip and some decent skiing, Blue Mountain in Allentown isnt half bad. They also offer snow boarding (and I believe smow tubing). If youre up for a longer drive, go to Camelback. If you want a nice challenge, go to Elk.
