Im going to get a New Pair of skies this year and boots. Any reccomendations. I am an Intermediate to Expert skier. Im looking for a good all around ski, wheather it be for speed or carving and hitting jumps occassionally. Any resonably priced models you reccomend. I dont care if they are last years either. Cheaper for me
 
I just bought a pair of Salomon Scream 10 Pilots Xtra Hot for $350 on eBay. I had ridden my cousins last season and loved them. The best all around ski I've used, but they might be a little lax for you if you enjoy doing real stiff carving and moguls (sp?). They're perfect for me though. Then again, I must be one of the only people in Louisiana to actually own a pair of skis...
 
I dont like Moguls and suck at them. I do love carving though and hitting those turns hard on edge
