Anyone have one of those Skeleton, luge, or bobsled courses near them ?

Can you just go up and try it out ?

I looks like a blast...better than waterslides.

i think there is some place in north dakota that i've heard about it-- you can pay and go bobsledding there... so i'm sure they would let you luge or skeleton also.

more like, 1.) take skateboard, 2.) attach piece of wood/plastic/insert material here that is roughly 1 foot wide x however long your body is, 3.) lie head first on board, and 4.) push down stairs :D

But seriously, i'd assume bobsled places would have them. also, consider the fact that you go, head first, at high speeds, on ice courses....not many places would accomodate (or afford the insurance premium) for a sport like that

Is it just me, or does skeleton look to be the same thing as sledding down the neighborhood hill - except at 60 MPH! Looks like fun! GO USA!

More like 80mph. looks like waterslides on a sled.

I want to try it too.

<< That's about the most impressive winter-olympic discipline IMO >>

I can't really see how it could take near the dedication of hockey, speed skating, half-pipe snowboarding, giant slalom or figure skating but DAMN it looks like fun!
