What do you guys like more? And for what purpose do you select your pair of shoes?

I just ordered New Balances a few days ago. I want to try out Skechers next.

I am looking for casual, sneaker type shoes and I will be walking a lot.

Also, compare the durability of the various brands.

I am getting more and more into shoes now ... hmm ...

skecthers are uncomfy now. I remembers years ago when they were comfy as hell, but now they do not even provide support.

I don't wear any of those, though I do know a lot of people that like NB.

The shoes I'm wearing right now are Polo

How can you compare with athletic shoes?

Timberland has a wide variety of casual shoes to sneaker types to hybrids that combine a sneaker and a boot.

I've worn the same style of Skechers for 3 consecutive pairs now; nice and comfortable for everyday stuff. Sadly, they don't make it anymore that I know of, so once this pair is worn out, I'll have to move on to something else. :(

new balance - very good quality, differing widths for better fit, many different athletic style (i pretty much only buy athletic shoes or dress shoes), extremely comfortable & supportive..
i haven't bought any other kind of shoe for about 6 years now. (except dress shoes obviously)

For actual athletic purposes you can not beat New Balance, they make a most excellent shoe. Then you are doing a boneheaded thing and comparing apples to oranges with the shoes in this poll; Timberland and New Balance are nothing at alike and should not be compared. Personally I always thought Skechers looked like crap, but that is my personal opinion.

I have used adidas in the past and they make great walking shoes, although a bit heavy.

What are good light walking shoes?
