SK7 vs Alpha 8045

I have the alpha heatsink on my XP1900+ rig (Palomino core) and its pretty warm considering its not being overclocked. It has decent case cooling, with temps of around 30c but the CPU idles at 52c with a 34cfm Antec LED Fan. I thought I had mounted the alpha wrong but I re-installed it and there was no change in temps. Do you think the SK7 would be better than the Alpha considering the SK7 is all copper where as the Alpha is part copper mostly aluminum?

I did this very same comparison on my 1700+ tbred. My 8045 beat my SK7 by about 2-3C. I found it works better without the shroud on top and with the fan blowing DOWN (against Alpha's recommendation).
