I hadn't noticed this before, but these thermalrights use a fan clip, they do not screw the fan into the HS. Me being anal on noise flow, wanted to try to use an sk7 + 92mm zalman. I was thinking of just rigging something up suspending the fan in front of the HS (hanging from right under the power supply).. but was wondering if anyone else had anything more creative done instead :)

The goal of course is to effectively quiet cool a xp2400+ w/o spending too much. There's also using the AX7 if I can find it when it comes time to buy it, but the sk7 seems to fit w/ more motherboards than the ax7 (or so i've read).

Any input is appriciated.

I hooked up a 92mm fan to my Thermalright SLK-800. I think you could do it with the SK7.

If the clip doesn't work you can try a different fan with the Zalman bracket. Maybe a Vantec Stealth?

Theres something called the Zalman BR123 which is a bracket that screws in over your pci slots. The bracket allows you to position a 92mm right over a cpu heatsink. Try looking into this if the heatsink clip doesn't work for you.
