Does anyone have any insight into whether the SK Hynix P31 Platinum 2TB is a real product? Will it be released soon?
 
They have mentioned it at CES. I suspect it'll be out "soon", they'd want something to compete with the jones in the 2TB size before year end.
 
I haven't heard anything more about it from SK hynix. I do think it's probably still going to be released at some point. But I think this may be one of those cases where the largest capacity requires using a different NAND flash die. The Gold P31 uses 512Gbit 128L TLC, but the Platinum P31 may be waiting for production to ramp up on 1024Gbit 128L TLC, which probably doesn't happen until yields are good on the smaller die.
