sk-7 question

I just got an SK-7 heatsink and YS tech adjustable fan for a 1700+ DLT3C.

What is the best configuration for the fan? Blowing onto the heatsink or sucking air from it?

thanks

Blowing on it is your best bet. By the way, when you attach it... notice how the heatsink can slide back and forth on the clip somewhat? Make sure to scoot it away from the raised, solid-plastic end of the CPU socket as far as the clip allows it to go. And of course, make sure the stepped end of the base is aimed at the raised, solid-plastic end of the CPU socket 😱

For sure. These things were kind of weird to install on my dually board. The fan attachment brackets are *weird* though. Too bad they couldn't have been the screw in type.

BTW, you an LSU grad or student?

I graduated in December '02 in EE

wish I was still there though 🙁 .....the LSU part, not the EE part 😉
