This deal is from Omaha Steaks and is meant for customers of Amazon.com (at this point I think everyone has ordered something from them). If you order 4 Filet's they give you six burgers free. What makes this deal a lot hotter, is the fact that their filets are half off.

"Save 50% on Omaha Steaks and Get 6 Burgers Free!"

It breaks down like this:
  • Four 5oz Filets = 20oz
  • Six 4oz burgers = 24oz
  • Filet's + Burgers = 44oz
Now I know 44oz of beef for $26 isn't a hot deal, but when you consider the fact that a decent Filet Mignon in an average/nice restaurant is going to cost you upwards of twenty dollars, its more than worth it. Personally, I don't think that Omaha Steaks are better than what you would get at a good Butcher's, but some people swear by them.

You can order them from:
www.omahasteaks.com/amazon
(You will have the option for the free burgers during checkout)

or

1-800-960-8400 (item #1135BTS)

UPDATE: I called a spoke to a few of their CSR's who offered to take my order over the phone and give me the same deal, but they had no idea how to get the six burgers to show up in your cart. I did get a code from one of the CSR's although she did not tell me how to use it. Finally, I went back to the web site and added the Filet's to my cart from their "Filet Section" (4 5oz Filets - item 1135BTS). Next I clicked checkout on the righthandside toolbar. When you start to check out it shows you your cart and underneath your items is a drop down menu: "Select a Free Gift." Mine defaults to a six piece gourmet steak knife set, but you can choose the burgers or "4/6 stuffed baked potatoes."

<< how do you get the burgers? >>

my mom got these for me for my 21st bday last November :p I guess they're a placeholder until I get something else ;) but I'm still waiting for my real present... pretty crappy considering my twin sister got a 1ct(sp?) diamond pendant for hers... anyways the UPS guy just dropped off a styrofoam cooler thingy packed with dry ice along with the frozen meat.

I called the 800-228-9055 and told them that I received a letter in the mail that gave me four gifts and 6 Top Sirloins for $24.99 + $9.99 shipping.
This included:
6 (6oz) Top Sirloins and
Gift label #1 6-piece cutlery set
Gift label #2 Free good life guide & cookbook
Gift label #3 6 free burgers
Gift label #4 Acrylic Cutting Board Early bird special order by May 24, 2002

I also had the choice to double the order of Top sirloins and free burgers for another $24.99. I chose to double the order and ended up paying $49.98 + $13.99 shipping.

You can try calling them and asking them about this deal but on the letter it said not to pass it on if I do not use it. So I guess it is ok to pass it on since I did use it.

Does anyone know what cut these steaks are at? Prime, choice, select?

Yers, the BEST ive ever tasted. I highly reccomend them.

Better than places like Morton's, Ruth's Chris, or Lawry's? This looks like an awesome deal though.

HSN.com has some decent deals on omaha steak branded stuff. You can apply that 25 off 35 coupon too. After shipping, I'm able to get 12-5oz. sirloins for 20 bucks shipped. Try it out. I'm not able to order because my girlfriend has imposed a global moratorium of meat upon me... we had freezer burned london broil in the dining hall today... mmmmm... it looked REALLY good.. Sigh..

If you can't get fresh meat, Omaha is OK, I have eaten nearly all of their offerings and none have dissapointed, but I prefer fresh cuts locally. My guess is those who feel these are best things since sliced bread are not real meat experts. If you eat out at Ponderosa, this stuff is excellent. If you eat out at a real restaurant, you'll be impressed, but not singing the praises of Omaha as loudly.

For those of you who haven't tried Omaha before, greg pretty much hit the nail on the head. The quality of everything you get is great, but for the most part only marginally better than what you will find at a nice gourmet butchers. I wouldn't go for any of the sides or desserts though, they are way over priced and you can do better locally.
