Although I can't benefit from this.....there are many here that can or know of someone who might be able to.

We are proud of our military serving our country and we would like to wish all of them our best wishes and a safe and speedy return.

We are inviting all Military who have served or are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan on a complimentary fun day cruise from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Grand Bahama Island valid until December 31, 2007. Discovery will provide the free cruise, including the cost of all meals, all service charges, taxes and Bahamian Departure Fees. There are no additional costs involved.

Military Personnel, simply fill out the form below and we will send you an e-mail entitling you to your complimentary Discovery Cruise.

Reservations will be required along with Military ID.

I saw the post as "Sizzling hot, Iraq/Afghanistan vests." I was going, I didn't think bullet proof vests were legal to sell. 😕

Maybe I missed it but how do you get back?

Drats... you figured it out. The 'cruise' is just the Pentagon's latest implementation of the Stop-Loss policy. They actually ship you off right back to Iraq/Afghanistan...

I hope it's not a time share scam....Damn I would be pi$$ed!

I cant imagine anyone wanting to piss off a bunch of people thats trained to kick ass in real life and not CS:S. How would they vertify that you went to Iraq since a military ID doesnt seem like enough.

Not to poop on a parade, but they also offer that for free on your birthday.

Oh, and here's a Review . If you're just going and coming back alone, might be a deal, but you can do better.

Cool deal, respectfully. 🙂

Edit: Board doesn't know HTML. =)

Oh, I thought this was the free cruise to the middle east the army will offer to new recruits. I hear it didn't go over well when the army required the recruits to pay their own way to the battle field.

Discovery Cruises has been operating out of Ft. Lauderdale for years (i remember seeing their boats off the 17th street causeway in Ft. Lauderdale in middle school and high school when i lived over there)... Its a casino cruise ship, older, not nearly as nice as the new cruise ships, but all the friends i knew who went on it had a good time, in fact i think my parents may have gone once a few years back...

It is NOT a time-share sales pitch, they make the money off you from the gambling 🙂

Enjoy a full vacation in just one day to the Bahamas. Discovery's One Day Bahamas Party Cruise departs daily from Fort Lauderdale at 7:45 a.m. and returns at 10:00 p.m.

....

ADULT FARE SAME DAY $119.99

So it's a $120 value and probably worth it if you're in Florida anyway...

For the rest of us vets, it makes the price of the total trip $500 instead of $620...
