sizing IE 6.0 browser window

I have Win XP pro XP2. It just started doing this: when I click a link and it opens a new browser window, the new window is very small. I have tried resizing it, but the new size does not get memorized. How do I make it remember the new size, or make it open it bigger.

There is also a few programs that run to resize windows to full size of the screen. I think it is called "IE Windows Maximizer" or something like that. I have it on my parents PC and it works great. Hope this helps!
