Hi. Presently I have a micro-ATX board that has its AGP port occupied along with the 2 bottom PCI slots. I want to add a Zalman VF700 series cooler to my video card but I don't know how much space it will need. I know it is supposed to be a two-slot solution but will a PCI card in the third slot affect it at all? Any help that can be offered will be appreciated.

You can put another card 2 slots below the video card... as long as it isn't another video card with a Zalman cooler.

Zalman coolers have a rised back plate as well as the fan that sticks out in front, so if you have two video cards, you'll need them to be 3 slots apart.

---EMPTY SLOT---
---CARD---
---VIDEO CARD---

You get it?

I've got a VF700-Cu on my 6800GS (PCI-E) and it should be more like:

Video Card
Empty Slot
Empty Slot
Card

For best effect.

When it's:
Video Card
Empty Slot
Card
Empty Slot

The temps rise a good bit. However running it with a single PCI slot between cooler and card will be OK as long as you aren't looking for max cooling.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to go ahead and buy a VF-700Cu. Your comments cleared up all my worries.
