I was looking through Logitech's site and although they list features, they don't list the physical dimensions. I was wondering if anyone had both of them or seen them both in person. I will be using the mouse mainly for my laptop. As of now, I have to detach my Intellimouse Explorer everytime I want to use it on my laptop.

From the looks of it, the MX500 is comparable in size with the Intellimouse Explorer am I correct?
I also have the Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical (gave it to my brother) and it looks as though the MX300 is comparable in size.

Price isn't really an issue, but if the size difference is as large as the difference between the Logitech Wheel Mouse Optical and MS Intellimouse Explorer I might have to go with the smaller mouse.

Any recommendations?

MX300 is smaller than the MX500/700 b/c it isn't contoured (molded palm) and isn't as long. The Explorer is deeper (taller) than the MX500/700, and is significantly larger than the MX300.

Do you have a CompUSA, Best Buy, or Circuit City near you? They should have all of those items out on display for you to compare for yourself. The MX300 is definitely smaller than the MX500, the MX500 might be a bit too bulky for you if space is an issue. I would say that the MX500 is slightly smaller than the Intellimouse Explorer.
